Onjal Social Foundation, managed by Smart Solution an Organic Waste Management, is dedicated to promoting sustainability through our 3R Collection Program.
This initiative focuses on reducing waste by collecting, repurposing, and recycling materials that are no longer in use but can still serve a purpose.
A 3R Collection Drive is an organized effort aimed at encouraging the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle to manage and minimize waste. This drive involves collecting various types of materials from the community, which can be sorted, processed, and diverted from landfills.
Minimize the amount of waste generated by avoiding single-use items.
We encourage residents to reduce waste by opting for reusable products like cloth bags, water bottles, and containers.
While reduction is more about behavior change than collection, We use the drive to educate participants about reducing waste.
We collect items that can be reused or repurposed, including:
Clothing: Gently used garments, shoes, and accessories.
Toys: Clean and functional toys for children.
Household Items: Furniture, kitchenware, and other reusable items.
Books: Old books that can be passed on or donated.
Convert waste materials into new products to conserve resources and reduce environmental impact, such as:
Paper: Newspapers, magazines, office paper, and cardboard.
Plastics: Containers with recycling symbols, including PET, HDPE, and PP.
Metals: Aluminum cans, steel cans, and scrap metal.
E-Waste: Old electronics, including computers, phones, and batteries.
Reduces landfill waste, conserves resources, and decreases pollution.
Provides valuable items to those in need and supports local charities.
Promotes efficient use of materials and reduces the need for new resources.
Enhances community awareness about sustainability and responsible waste management.
Our 3 R Collection Program involves a comprehensive process designed to maximize the reuse and recycling of old materials while minimizing environmental impact. Here’s how it works:
